Faculty & Staff Support

Wilson seeks $2 million to help faculty and staff provide a quality educational and co-curricular experience for students.

This area of the campaign focuses on the resources and tools faculty and staff leverage to deliver curricula and services to students. This focus area is critical because Wilson College runs on an incredibly lean number of faculty and staff.

Help support faculty and staff in their endeavors to provide a quality educational and co-curricular experience

Our valuable faculty and staff are experiencing an unprecedented level of salary compression, due to a lack of salary increases and cost of living adjustments. Unfortunately, because of very tight budgets, the College has been unable to keep pace with salary expectations across all departments and roles, making the retention of current faculty and staff as well as the recruitment of new individuals very difficult.

Financial gifts directed to this focus area could help offset the costs of the following:

  • Technology resources in all academic buildings

  • New software to support online learning modalities

  • The purchase of supplies, equipment, and equipment updates in both science laboratory and animal studies classrooms

  • Salaries for full-time faculty to teach courses

  • Salaries for staff, including in the Academic Success Center, the John Stewart Memorial Library, Information Technology, Human Resources, etc.

The faculty and staff are very accommodating, understanding, and they give me advice that best fits my lifestyle.

Students pick Wilson because of the relationships that they’re going to build with their faculty, with the staff members that they meet, and with their fellow peers.
